"Sopron, 8 September 1959. No more explanations. You slit your wrists... and then someone will come along and explain..." - Éva Szalánczki's last note. It exploded on the western border. He stepped on a mine while trying to defect. Maybe. Lieutenant Marosi is determined to find out Éva's story and the cause of her mysterious death. We don't know who killed whom or why, but with Eve no longer alive, Marosi may be closer to finding herself...
Inside the Law is the whole of the past system and everything that still works today: loopholes, compromises, secret lovers, silences, lives covered up and, against all that, Eve, who refuses to compromise. For "What kind of loyalty is there to be guarded by walls?"
